The educational objective of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) regards ‘to cultivate outstanding talents with creative thinking, professional knowledge and skills and quality of humanism’ as its educational objective and ‘to be able to enrich the basic competencies of humanities and social sciences, to make use of language expression and critical thinking upon innovative activities and to possess ideas related to democracy, the rules of law and quality for social care’ as the core competencies that all NDHU students should be equipped with.

    In addition to a variety of professional programs, the HASS has also designed and developed basic programs and courses in order for students to consolidate their basic interdisciplinary capacities as well as to forge their capability in planning their own learning via self-directed learning.
